Gillian, also known as Gfortytwo, started her career as a platform hairstylist, teaching classic and creative haircutting. Now she uses her broad knowledge of cutting hair into different shapes, geometric forms, and textures as the inspiration for her styling. The styles she creates are fun, full of shape, colorful, energetic, and spontaneous.

Gillian, has worked with hair at many better upscale companies such as Bumble and bumble, Rusk, Aveda and Schwarzkopf. Her fashion editorial work and advertising for companies includes Warner Brothers, Wet Naturals, and Carlton Hair Intl' and can be viewed in fashion magazines such as Vogue, W, Elle, Bazaar, In Style, Display and Blink. She has worked on many runway shows including, Sketchers, Tuleh, Matthew Williamson, Buffalo, and Glaza Clothing.
